Biomass Fueled Electric Generation

E-mail Print PDF
Biomass-fueled electric generation capacity in the US.

This map was created using the EPA Integrated Planning Model Database for 2006 (http://www.epa.gov/airmarkt/progsregs/epa-ipm/index.html#needs).  This shows biomass-fired power generation capacity by State (View Map).

As you can see from the map, California has the highest capacity for biomass-power production (611 MW).  California is followed by ME and FL.  As of 2006, WV did not produce any power from biomass sources.
